BlackBerry Application Store - BLACKBERRY WORLD



BlackBerry New Application Store, BlackBerry World - BlackBerry App World application store will be renamed. Ahead of the launch of the BlackBerry 10 handset, its name will be changed to BlackBerry World only.

"On January 23, 2013, the BlackBerry App World will change its name to BlackBerry World," said Alec Saunders, RIM's vice president of Developer Relations.

BlackBerry manufacturer RIM as it continues to strengthen the ecosystem of apps BlackBerry 10 in order to compete. Targeted, tens of thousands of applications already available as BlackBerry 10 was introduced in late January 2013.

BlackBerry World will not just sell applications only. There are also new categories of content such as music and video.

Alec did not mention the exact number of applications that will be available for the BlackBerry platform 10. But seeing the enthusiasm of developers, he believes the amount is significant.

"We target applications for BlackBerry 10 most numerous, and could exceed existing applications for the first generation to another platform," said Alec.

Alec also stressed BlackBerry 10 tightly controlled to ensure the safety of the malicious program. "We have a special team of testers to control the applications that come in," said Alec.

To attract developers, RIM is also promoting various programs. Such as providing free tools and incentives in the form of money, of course, with certain conditions.
