'Apple' create 'Android, or at least create the conditions necessary to create Android, "Elop said, as we quoted from Tech Spot.
According to Elop, closed nature of the Apple platform triggered demand for an open operating system. Well, Android is finally fulfilling this request.
But Elop stated that Android is actually not too open. "Google box has a lid that opens and we still do not know what the cover was going to do," said he likens.
"People have decided that they can not perform the way Apple and they should do something else. Then I stepped in there and created Android, and others participated in the Android train," said this bespectacled man.
Others with Nokia, Elop said it would totally support the platform made by Microsoft. Nokia WP 7 handsets is expected to release in early 2012.
On the other hand, re Elop believes Nokia has the right to choose Windows Phone 7 (WP7). Jikalaupun current WP 7 is not so steep, he considered as the vendors that adopt more focus on developing Android phones than WP7.
On the other hand, Nokia boss Dismissed Rumors Samsung Acquisition,.
Samsung rumored to intend to buy Nokia. This news reached the ears of the boss of Nokia, Stephen Elop. The man who served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nokia's claimed the rumors are not true.
Previously, Nokia is also rumored to be purchased by Microsoft. Elop also directly denied the news.
"All the rumors that have no basis," said Elop in London, speaking at the Open Mobile Summit event, as reported by Cnet and quoted us.
Elop also emphasized Nokia still had so much interest, especially in Asia. However, the acquisition rumors emerge as reflecting difficulties faced by Nokia at this time, particularly in the smartphone market.
While denies acquisition rumors, Elop reiterated his ambition to create an ecosystem of smartphones that can compete with Apple's iPhone and Android. Windows Phone 7 OS so weapons Nokia in ambition.
Nokia's position is still very strong in the low end phone market. But in the realm of high end phones, their market share continues to decline by intense pressure from Android, iPhone and BlackBerry.
