Microsoft Showcase Windows Phone 8

Microsoft introduced its latest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8. Windows Phone 8 brings a variety of new features including support for mobile wallet and Near Field Communications.

"The biggest thing is the Windows Phone 8 share the same with Windows 8," said Joe Belfiore, Windows Phone Manager is quoted by Computerworld, Thursday (06/21/2012).

Windows Phone 8 is deeply integrated with the Windows operating system 8, which means a new generation of Windows devices such as PCs, laptops and mobile phones will interact smoothly. Developers also benefit because they can create cross platform applications.

Microsoft is promising applications created for Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 can run well on Windows 8. Belfiore did not say when exactly the handset with a Windows Phone 8 will greet the market, but certainly by 2012 this.

Meanwhile, Apple promises a change of party in IOS 6. Additional new features in the operating system is expected to make a better Apple gadget.

Some developers also are treated to the IOS version 6 beta, just not all satisfied with the changes.

Indeed, in the event of Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2012 yesterday, Apple claims there is an additional 200 new features in IOS 6. Some of the features of 'hero' in them, deep integration into Facebook and Siri are getting smarter functionality.

But that was not enough, according to technology analyst Jaime River, there are at least four disappointment he felt on this six IOS. The following opinion is poured on Pocketnow, who quoted on Monday (6/18/2012).

A. IOS 6 Coming Late
Apple is famous for launching the product that defines new standards. When they are late, usually the company's legacy of Steve Jobs made tremendous inroads, or offering something dramatically better.

Unfortunately, IOS-6 is considered not that way. Be the OS that is more 'beautiful' is not necessarily a better system. One of them is a deeper integration of Facebook.

Despite a new, true integration of Facebook's already in Windows Phone 7. "There's something new? I think not," said Jaime River.

There is also FaceTime connected with cellular network - was only able to connect via WiFi. Third-party applications have been offering video calls via mobile, thus making FaceTime update is also seen late.

2. Fragmentation of the Start 'Weird'
When Apple launched the IOS-6 turns out there is some fragmentation that differ from each other, the truth hated in Android. Because the main problem of fragmentation is a hardware limitation.

Indirectly IOS 6 do. For example, in this beta version of IOS 6, Siri was not supported in the iPad 2. And if the iPhone 3G gets updated IOS 6, why is not the first generation iPad?

3. User Interface Still The Same
The distance between 1 and IOS IOS six to five years. But until now there has been no significant change of the mobile operating system. Everything still looks the same.

"Can you imagine Microsoft launched Windows Vista that still look like Windows XP? The age difference between them is only five years, both have different user interfaces," said River.

It functions in the IOS has changed here and there, but use something similar for half a decade is certainly not the right choice for Apple.

"I understand the purpose of the Apple icon in keeping the entire grid, but why not find out some way to have a different UI profile," he continued.

"Hey, if Cydia - Jailbreak applications - just to know, I'm sure all the thousands of Apple engineers could do better," said River.

4. Apple Stuck in the Comfort Zone
Using a device that is not better than the competitors, of course not easy in a tough competition as it is now. Moreover, forced to wait up to 18 months, of course it was torture.

"It's not as if I do not recommend IOS 6. Once again, there are a ton of reasons why the iPhone 4S is still in my pocket to run the beta version. My biggest concern lies in the future," said River.

"Apple seems to have fallen into a comfort zone in today's dangerous. This company appears not to compete for the struggle to keep pace," he insists.
