HTC Plans to Buy a New Mobile OS

Maker HTC smartphones based on Android and Windows Phone 7, is reportedly considering to buy an operating system (OS) new mobile. Indications are caught from the statement filed HTC CEO Cher Wang.

"We can use any OS we want. We can make things different from our rivals on the second or third platform. Our strength relies on an understanding of the OS, but that does not mean we have to produce an OS," he explained.

"We've thought about it and discussed it among internally. Yet we are not in a hurry," Wang said in an interview with the Economic Observer of China.

It was shocking to hear HTC plans to buy rather than develop its own mobile OS. However, as we quoted from Mashable, Wang clearly shows HTC is very confident with his skills 'shop' and buy what they like rather than waste time developing their own OS.

Very closely with HTC Android smartphone. Since immersing Android to smartphone, the Taiwanese company's popularity has skyrocketed, especially since it is supported by a number of Android handsets sold in the market. HTC Android handset popularity even beat his own brother, the HTC handsets based on Windows Phone 7.
