Launching New Microsoft Smartphone

Washington - Microsoft is ready to surprise again this year. After producing its own hardware for Surface tablet, origin Redmond software giant, the U.S., is also preparing the launch of its own smartphone.

It is not yet known, whether this handset will soon be mass produced or not. Sources quoted by the WSJ said it would carry the smartphone touchscreen display measuring 4 or 5 inches.

We quoted from the Wall Street Journal, Friday (02/11/2012), Microsoft is testing smartphone. Some time ago, Microsoft is reportedly planning to make a smartphone a 'branded' with its own brand.

So far, Microsoft is working hard to put a good performance for Windows based smartphones. Handset Windows only gained 2% share of the global market dominated by iOS and Android.

Rumors of Microsoft's smartphone stuck shortly after the release of Windows Phone 8. "Our sources say that Microsoft could be working with contract manufacturers to develop their own handsets for Windows Phone 8," said Wall Street analyst, Rick Sherlund.

If the news is true, this step makes the phone actually is not the first time Microsoft did. Previously, the software giant had released a handset called Kin experiment. Unfortunately, this phone failed to entice consumers. Within months, Kin withdrawn from the market.
