Japan Develops Tablet Screen 2560x1600 Pixels

Is Japan Display Inc. (JDI), which named the third prototype display the results of their development as 'Innovation Vehicle'.

The performances of the FPD International 2012 to be held in Yokohama, Japan, will be utilized one of Sakura technology giants in the industry to introduce three LCD display prototype dedicated to tablets, smartphones as well as screen for applications in the automotive world.

Almost similar to the prototype screens for tablets, smartphones use size 5-inch screen with full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels) with 438 ppi density and thickness of only 1.0 mm.

To display prototype intended for tablets, a 7-inch and has a resolution of up to 2560x1600 pixels at 441 ppi density, as well as a contrast ratio of 2000:1 which is embedded in the display with IPS technology which is only 1.3 mm thick. Power required is claimed only half of the 7-inch screen on the market.
