Nokia collaboration with Microsoft is not always lucrative. Especially for 6,000 employees Nokia will reportedly undergo Termination of Employment (FLE), for Microsoft. If true, this is Nokia's biggest layoffs in the next 20 years.

Massive layoffs that occurred in the division of research and development (R & D) in Finland, which is the central headquarters of Nokia. In the research and development, Nokia has 16 134 employees. Globally, the division's employees will be reduced by 38 percent.

As we quoted from Bloomberg, the effect of the news is going to be felt less wear of the employees at the end of April.

Keep in mind, the budget division of R & D Nokia in 2010 reached USD 4.3 Million. These costs are more than twice as Apple simply takes USD 1.78 million in the same year.

CEO Stephen Elop on February 11 said that its partnership with Microsoft that will make Windows Phone 7 (WP7) as the primary OS, it will affect the workforce reduction.
